With the support of the Chengdu Municipal People's Government, the Chengdu Ecological Environment Bureau, and the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of International Exhibition, Asia's flagship environmental trade fair, "IE Expo," made its debut in Chengdu in 2019. By channeling the brand's accumulated high-quality industry resources into the western market, it has now grown into a large-scale, premium flagship environmental exhibition in Chengdu and the broader western region.
The 2024 IE Expo Chengdu successfully concluded on June 26 at the China Western International Expo City. The exhibition brought together 401 renowned companies from 11 countries, showcasing advanced treatment solutions for municipal, industrial, and rural water, solid waste, air, and soil pollution across a 30,000-square-meter exhibition space. Over the three-day event, it attracted 30,000 professional visitors from home and abroad.
Held concurrently was the 2024 China Environmental Industry Summit Forum. These two major environmental industry events drew industry leaders from central and state-owned enterprises as well as listed environmental companies, including Veolia, SUEZ, Sichuan Development Environment, Tsinghua Unigroup Tsingyuan Environment, Welle, Memstar, and China Construction Environment, to Chengdu to discuss the environmental industry and empower new development in the west. The concurrent forums were equally spectacular. Over three days, 14 sub-forums covered the entire environmental governance industry chain, including village and town water treatment, industrial water treatment, black and odorous water bodies, livestock and poultry waste, VOCs treatment, waste recycling and disposal, contaminated site remediation, and ecological environment monitoring. With an assembly of experts addressing industry challenges and exploring future development trends, the forums were highly acclaimed and fully attended.
